Working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic: Impact on office worker productivity and work experience

BACKGROUND: With the COVID-19 pandemic, organizations embraced Work From Home (WFH). An important component of transitioning to WFH is effect on workers, particularly related their productivity and work experience. OBJECTIVES: The objective this study examine how worker-, workspace-, work-related factors affected time spent at a workstation typical day during pandemic. METHODS: online questionnaire was designed administered collect necessary information. Data from 988 respondents were included in analyses. RESULTS: Overall perception level among workers did not change relative in-office before Female, older, high-income likely report increased productivity. Productivity positively influenced by better mental physical health statuses, having teenager, communication with coworkers dedicated room for work. Number hours approximately 1.5 day.
